Term Limits for Congress?

Groundbreaking – but actually, it would be.

Term limits are the talk of the town, and they certainly were the focus of the latest episode of Girl and the Gov, The Podcast. Term limits for SCOTUS and term limits for Congress were discussed on the show with Congressman Ro Khanna. We chatted about why they’re needed and how to get it done – little hint: a five point plan is involved. Take a watch of the convo in action here:

Or go audio only and listen in + download episodes on Apple Podcasts and Spotify Podcasts.

THAT ACTION JACKSON THOUGH

Did somebody say term limits for SCOTUS?! Oh, right, that was us and Congressman Ro Khanna. Tell the other reps – your reps – to get on board with this by sending them this note.

IN MEMORIAM | SENATOR FEINSTEIN

READ: Get to know her political legacy [the before the retirement needed era].

DO: Continue her legacy in the fight for gun reform, and tell your reps to bring a national assault weapons ban back into action.

SEND TO A FRIEND: This post and this post from State Senator Wiener.

LISTEN: Get the backstory on the national assault weapons ban that she fought for.

Editor’s Note: This week’s episode is on term limits, which we at GATG fully support, and in many ways this is a great example of why. That said, her legacy as a trailblazing woman in politics is enormous and also important to highlight/learn about, hence the above.
